(had to remove the article from the WASHINGTON TIMES, blurg!)
WOW, so THAT's how he feels......a little extreme for my taste, but.......Just curious Barack (or Barry as you were once known), what kind of carbon footprint did your unnecessary euro jaunt leave on the world (seeing as it was by private jet I'm sure that we as Americans paid for - not me, but campaign contributors). I could care less about your carbon footprint, but your supporters should. I'm not sure if they do, as the blind eye was turned. 32% of Germans in a recent poll stated that they hate us. 61% said that we are headed for a crumble like Babylon and Rome before us (only to be usurped by China). Hurray! Great ideas BO, I just want to see these plans. All I ever hear are..."Actually, Tom, Wolf, Anderson, Tim, I've got a plan that will __________lower taxes, end the war, find jobs, stimulate the economy,....etc". What are those plans? OH, that's a secret. GWB was way under qualified to run the US, and at least he had run something else into the ground before. Obama has never been in charge of anything (being a senator puts you in charge of nothing BTW). At the end of the day, IS THIS REALLY THE BEST WE HAVE GOT!!!?!?????!!! In our whole freaking country, McCain and Obama are the best we can come up with?

Interesting piece from ol Jon Voight. Someone on the radio or TV recently made an interesting point about how John McCain and Obama view the war differently.
Many people liken Iraq to Vietnam and I can't say that I don't agree with that to a certain extent. Many of our nation's leaders who lived through the 1960's and 1970's now oppose the Iraq war and see it as another Vietnamesque quagmire. McCain doesn't see that because he was in a prison camp for 7 years - the same 7 years that saw widespread protest accross the country for social issues and against the Vietnam war and radically changed America. This period had a radical impact on every American since then, whether we support those ideals or not. McCain, through not fault of his own, was MIA during that period and missed out on one of the most important eras of our nation's history. He has been quoted as saying that he thought we should have stuck it out in Vietnam, given greater effort, and we would have "won," whatever that term means in a situation like Iraq or Vietnam. He feels the same way about Iraq.
I didn't live through Vietnam, but I can't say it was a good or necessary war and it lasted way too long and took too many American and Vietnamese lives. I shudder to think about how McCain's experience in Vietnam may give him a lack of valuable perspective regarding our future in Iraq.
Talk amongst yourselves...
geez, voight is a right-winger? my dad will like that article a lot. actually, i was getting pretty fired up as i read it. how much more polarized could this country be? both sides think the other is dragging our country to hell in a handbag, and i can't really pick a side. they're both so extreme! i definitely hate a ferrakhan as much as the next guy/gal, but is obama really going to morph us into a socialist america? do all progressive values equal socialism, or is that just leftover cold war fear from an old dude?
i'd just like to hear a balanced breakdown of both candidates. maybe the balanced view is that they're both shmucks.
i like that leland basically gave a speech on here. did he learn that on the debate team? i think maybe he has a trophy for that or something...
No, he didn't learn that from debate, but he definitely was twisting his MBA ring with the opposite hand while he gave said speech...
our candidates blow...
It was the medal for "speech" class, taught by (Debate) Coach Billy Tate. My only award at MBA came from the class with the narcaleptic (sp?) teacher, and was shared with Doug Oliver. I peaked late.
